Braided scarf with old t-shirts

I saw a girl in the street wearing a braided scarf and I just wanted one! I looked in my wardrobe a grab three old colors matching t-shirts to make me one.

Vi a una chica en la calle con una bufanda trenzada y solo queria una! Busque en mi armario tres playeras que combinaban juntas y me hice una.

A tutorial to explain the steps, it's faster with a sewing machine but totally doable without one.
Once you have your t-shirts, cut them into strips, around 3" wide.

Un tutorial para explicales los pasos, es mas rapido con una maquina de coser pero totalmente posible sin una. Una vez que tienen las playeras, cortan las en tiras de mas o menos 7 cm de ancho.

You gonna need tree longs strips, around 140". So you probably gonna have to sew it together. Take a look at the pictures here over, how I sew the strips in diagonal.

Van a necesitar tres tiras largas, de 3.5m mas o menos. Lo mas probable es que van a necesitar coser varias tiras juntas. Miran las fotos encima, como cosi mis tiras en diagonal.

Tie one end of the strips together with a safe pin, and find a place to attach it (or borrow someone's hand).
Start braiding, rolling the edges of the strips inside. Braid, braid, braid and when they reach the end, sew each strip together with its other end. Cut off the excess fabric and adjust the braid.

Amarren un extremo de las tiras entre si con un pasador de seguridad, y buscan un lugar para colocarlas (o piden prestado la mano de alguien). Empiezan a trenzar, rodando los bordes de las tiras hacia adentro. Trenza, trenza, trenza y cuando llegan al final, cosen cada tira junta con su otro extremo. Corten lo que sobra de tela y ajustan la trenza.
